Terms & Conditions of Facility Rental

RESERVATION INVOICE
Tapioca Village Retreat will issue a reservation invoice to you by email, setting forth the total amount as per your request.
Until the deposit is received, this booking is considered "on hold".

DEPOSIT
A deposit must be paid to confirm this reservation. The amount of the deposit is 30% of the total rental amount. Failure to make this payment will subject your reservation to cancellation. For holiday periods (Easter, Summer, Heroes Day, Christmas, New Year's and Thanksgiving) we may require a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount.
The reservation invoice will specify the requirements.
Upon confirmation of the reservation by deposit, Tapioca Village Retreat will issue a statement setting forth the total amount, deposit credited and total balance due.
Your deposit constitutes your acceptance and agreement to the terms, conditions, limitations and restrictions as shown in this document.
Deposit payment at any National Commercial Bank (NCB), credit account # 811015652, Tapioca village Retreat, Port Maria Branch, St. Mary.

FINAL PAYMENT
Final and total payment on this invoice must reach Tapioca Village Retreat not later than 15 days prior to commencement of the rental period. For holiday periods as specified above, we may require final payment 30 days prior to commencement of the rental period.
Your reservation invoice will specify the requirements and a statement will be sent to you on receipt of final payment.

CANCELLATION OR RESERVATION CHANGE REQUEST
Tapioca Village Retreat will give full refund for cancellation 60 days prior to arrival date (90 days for holiday periods) less a 10% cancellation fee.
For cancellations fewer than 60 days (90 for holiday periods) prior to the arrival date, a refund will be given only if the property can be rented.
Conditions are clearly marked on the reservation invoice.

No-shows, late arrivals, change in number of persons in group after arrival and early departures are all non-refundable. All cancellations and any request for change to your reservation (e.g. dates, number of persons in group..) must be made in writing and sent by email or text WhatsApp 1-876-472-5255 as soon as possible.
For reservation change request, we will make every effort to accommodate you but cannot make guarantees.

HURRICANE POLICY
June to November is hurricane season in Jamaica. In the event of flight cancellations as a result of an active hurricane, Tapioca Village Retreat will do everything possible to help with either extending or rescheduling your vacation.
We do encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance to protect your investment.

CAPACITY OF VILLA, ROOM OR CAMPING DORMITORY
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the number stated in the reservation invoice nor can it exceed the stated capacity of the property unless specifically stated in the reservation invoice.
If individuals are added to the party, the client agrees to notify Tapioca Village Retreat and pay the required amount immediately.

QUIET ENJOYMENT
Tapioca Village Retreat strives to maintain a Christian, family atmosphere for guests' quiet enjoyment. We rent to family groups, religious organisations, civic-minded organisations and responsible adults only.
Guests shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful, so as not to disturb other residents of the neighbourhood.
Fighting and noisy behaviour will not be tolerated from campers.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Tapioca Village Retreat highly values your trust in becoming a client and makes every effort to maintain a good level of safety and security, employing a wide variety of precautions. Still, no warranty is made by Tapioca Village Retreat and we encourage clients to use appropriate cautionary measures to both secure values and participate in activities.
Non residential guests will not be allowed access to the property unless approved by a senior member / group leader.


SWIMMING POOL RULES
- Persons enter the swimming pool at their own risk when the Life Guard is not present.
- Children MUST be supervised at all times at the swimming pool, by a responsible adult (and the Life Guard).
- Persons with infectious diseases should not enter the pool.
- Persons should shower before entering the pool.

The following are strictly prohibited at / in the pool:
1. Spitting
2. Urinating
3. Running around the deck
4. Horse-playing
5. Diving

Room and cottage guests can use the swimming pool as long as reasonable discretion is employed and particular attention given to safety. Lifeguard is available on request (conditions apply).
Campers are allotted specific time periods for the use of the pool under the supervision of the Life Guard whose presence is compulsory.
Non-respect of this policy will result in a non-refunded cancellation of reservation.
